John (Jack) Bolton
Brother John (Jack) Bolton passed away peacefully in his 91st year
on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He was a member of Wentworth Lodge No.
166 and the Shriners Club of Hamilton. He was on of their best
clowns entertaining many children over the years.
The family has
requested a Masonic Memorial Service to be held on Sunday, April 28,
2019 at 3:30 p.m. at the Donald Brown Funeral Home on Lake Avenue in
Stoney Creek. Your attendance at this service would be greatly
Michael Boyd Scott Johnston
JOHNSTON, Michael Boyd Scott March 28, 1964 - March 8, 2019
Tragically and senselessly, on Friday, March 8, 2019, Michael was
taken from us at the age of 54. Cherished son of Carolyn Duncan
(late Al), and the late Daniel Johnston (1987). Incredibly proud and
most loving father of Thomas. Much loved brother of Daniel Sean,
Heather Spadafora (Leo). Michael was the adored uncle of Lauren and
Danielle Spadafora. Loving nephew of Pamela Coombs and the late
Debbie Coombs. He will also be remembered by the extended Johnston
family. Mike grew up in Hannon and attended Orchard Park Secondary
School and Mohawk College. Mike was a dedicated employee of
Stackpole International for 22 years. Michael was a proud member and
Past Master of Wentworth Lodge #166, a member of Preceptory Geoffrey
de Bouillon #3 and a Royal Arch Mason of Hiram Chapter #2. Michael
was a kind and dignified man. A true gentleman who was admired by
all of his family, friends and co-workers. He will forever be loved
and greatly missed. Visitation at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, 947
Rymal Road East, Hamilton on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 2-4 p.m.
and from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service and Masonic Memorial Service will
be held on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at Bay Gardens Funeral Home at 3
p.m. A private family Entombment at Bayview Mausoleum, Burlington
will be held at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations
can be made to the Masonic Foundation of Ontario or the SPCA
Hamilton would be appreciated.
W. Bro. Kevin J. Baglole
The Reverend Kevin J. Baglole, passed away peacefully (in his 54th
year) on Tuesday January 29, 2019 at Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice after a 17
month journey with cancer. Kevin leaves behind his beloved wife
Gail, son Joshua, daughter Hannah, mother Helen, sisters Karen, and
Kelly (Sandro), and niece Kendra. Kevin was predeceased by his
father Edward Kenneth Baglole.
Kevin worked for the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant LHIN as a
Psychosocial Spiritual Bereavement Clinician. Helping people connect
with a greater purpose in their last moments was Kevin’s true
calling. Prior to his work with the HNHB LHIN, Kevin worked in Long
Term Care first as a chaplain and later as an administrator at a
number of facilities.
Throughout his rostered ministry in the Evangelical Lutheran Church
in Canada, Kevin served many local Lutheran and Anglican churches as
their pastor, interim pastor, or supply pastor. Kevin was a proud
member of St. Andrew’s Lodge #593, and eagerly participated in their
One of the great passions of Kevin’s life was the time he spent with
Special Olympics Grimsby-Lincoln.
Kevin’s family wishes to express profound thanks to the care
provided by Dr. Dhesy-Thind, the staff at Juravinski Cancer Centre,
the Dr. Bob Kemp Hospice, and Kevin’s co-workers at the LHIN.
Family and friends will gather on Monday February 4, 2019 from 4:00
P.M. to 8:00 P.M. for visitation at Christ’s Church Cathedral (252
James Street North, Hamilton, Ontario). We will gather again on
Tuesday February 5, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. for a celebration of Kevin’s
life and ministry at Christ’s Church Cathedral. A reception will
follow at the Scottish Rite Club (4 Queen Street South, Hamilton,
Ontario). A private family internment will take place the next day
at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Beach Road, Sherkston, Ontario.
